One of the newest features introduced to WhatsApp is the option to send disappearing messages. Selected content sent by us is saved in the chat only for a certain period of time and then disappears. The developers of the application, however, will soon officially introduce a new function that will save such disappearing messages for longer.

With the introduction of the new feature, it will be possible to save disappearing messages in a conversation. However, the key will be the detail that the sender of the message will have to allow it. When you save a message, a notification will be sent to the message originator informing you that the message has been saved, and you will be able to withdraw your consent to save the message. Saved messages will be under a special tab icon at the top of the chat. The new feature is to be called "Keep in Chat" and is expected to roll out to all users in the coming weeks.
