Initially, on the social media market, Snapchat caused a lot of excitement, which allowed for sending photos and recordings available only once to be played for a specified period of time. Later, the potential of such a function was noticed by the owners of other portals. We now know that a similar feature has just been added to WhatsApp.
This feature has been tested since June, and has now been officially introduced to the app. It has been called "View Once" and it works similar to the function also available in the Instagram application. Users will receive information that there is a photo or a recording waiting to be opened and that after closing it, it will not be possible to play it again. The application will also inform about the fact that a screenshot of the sent photo has been made or that the recording that is supposed to disappear by default is recorded by the person viewing the sent content.
