Wordle is an internet game that has stormed the recognition of Internet users. This game is about guessing five-letter words in English language. After entering the proposed solutions, players are returned with information about the inclusion of specific letters in the word of the day, thanks to which players can in turn deduce which letters are in the main answer of the day and, importantly, in what order these letters make up the main word. The game was launched in November 2021, but it is already played by millions of players around the world. For this reason, the platform attracted the attention of many investors, and Wordle finally changed hands just months after its official launch.
The new owner of Wordle is the New York Times Company. It should be mentioned that the New York Times offers a subscription costing 0.25$ a week, which gives you access to many additional activities, including access to games. In the case of the aforementioned games made available by the New York Times, these are titles such as Spelling Bee or Letter Boxed. For now, however, Wordle will remain available for free and the New York Times has not announced changes in this aspect of the game's operation on the Internet.
