MIUI is a user interface developed by Xiaomi, implemented on proprietary smartphones of the company. Currently, the latest version of MIUI available on the market is version 12.5, but soon version 13 is to be delivered to customers, which is already in the beta testing phase. Among a limited number of testers from China, a mention was found about the introduction of a new mode to the system - MIUI Pure Mode, which is to increase the safety of users.
MIUI Pure Mode is to make users have more control over the applications installed on the phone. After launching the currently tested mode, the installation of applications that will be on the phone from untrusted external sources will be blocked. This mode will also block the option to install the application in the background without notifying the user that the installation is complete. Of course, this mode can be turned off in the phone settings if necessary. For now, however, we do not know what plans Xiaomi has for MIUI Pure Mode and whether this function will go to the stable versions of MIUI at all.
