YouTube is looking for ways to strengthen its market position. The company places great emphasis on the development of YouTube Shorts, which, by increasing part of the revenue with creators, are to become a more attractive place to create content than competing TikTok. Another way to increase traffic on the platform may be to introduce live streaming of TV channels.

YouTube is already in talks with TV stations to bring TV series, movies and entire channels directly from TV to YouTube to the streaming platform. However, it has not yet been indicated with which entities the talks are in progress. While the Shorts service is designed to compete with TikTok, the announced streaming of TV channels is intended to allow YouTube to compete with the service Roku.
