Facebook at the very beginning of its activity was limited to one website used for communication between friends, but when the company significantly increased its revenues, then its bosses had to make a decision about plans for future of their firm. They decided to buy other popular social app and messenger, more specifically we are talking about Instagram and WhatsApp. Both applications are still very popular and formally they are separate companies, but from some time Facebook has been introducing options that allow you to share accounts on different portals. Soon it may turn out that all three applications will become one large service.
The New York Times journalists have come to the information that indicates that Mark Zuckerberg really wants to combine Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram into one app that would bring significant benefits to the company. This change would align the disproportions between the numbers of users of individual applications and, furthermore, company's revenues would increase. This project is currently under development, and its implementation is expected at the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020.
