The ability to charge a smartphone wirelessly becomes a standard in all phones, not only in flagship devices. For iPhones, Apple has developed a solution called MagSafe, which uses a magnet to properly place the phone on the charger, but also facilitates the charging process of the iPhone. Android phones, on the other hand, use the Qi solution, which will soon have its successor.

The new solution will be named Qi2. It was developed by the Wireless Power Consortium, which includes, among others, Apple, Samsung and LG. Qi2 is supposed to work in a similar way to MagSafe used in iPhones. Initially, it will allow you to charge devices with 15W, but over time the solution is to be improved and achieve greater charging power, which will translate into faster charging of electronics to a full battery. First Qi2-enabled phones will be launched later this year.
