In recent years, Facebook has undergone significant changes in terms of its operation. Owners added more advertisements to website, also very popular is option of paid fanpage promotion and features such as Stories have appeared on the portal. Importantly, many of new features on Facebook previously appeared on Instagram and the similarity of the added features on both portals is not surprising, because both portals belong to Facebook Inc. In the near future probably another feature so far known only thanks to Instagram will be added to Facebook, and this feature is "Popular Photos".
While browsing photos added to the portal, there will appear an option of displaying thumbnails of subsequent photos. Of course, thumbnails selected through the "Popular Photos" feature will lead users directly to view the photo. Portal will use special algorithms to select the most popular photos with using the number of views and the number of reactions to the post and present selected graphics below the first photo opened by the user. This feature is already available to the few users of the portal, but as owners of Facebook themselves ensure, so far "Popular Photos" feature is just in testing phase and it is not known whether this function will be permanently introduced on the site.
