Due to the common owner, it often happens that new functions well-received by users in applications such as Messenger, WhatsApp or Instagram often find their way to other messengers owned by Facebook. This time, Facebook decided to check a new function that will ultimately go to two Facebook applications: Messenger and Instagram.
The new feature is called "Vanish Mode". In practice, this is a mode that allows you to send messages to users, which after a while will automatically disappear from the application and cannot be read again. Recipients will be able to take a screenshot of the received messages, but then the author will be informed that the message has been saved in the screenshot. To enter the new mode, all you need to do is one quick flick of your finger up while in the conversation in which you want to send a message. For now, the function is in the testing phase and is only available to a limited group of Messenger's users in the United States. A little later, it will also be released to Instagram.
