Every month, owners of Pixel phones receive a security update. Typically, these updates relate to minor improvements that Google employees have found that relate to security on all phones, but from time to time Google releases a major update that also fixes bugs that only occur on specific smartphone models. One of such updates is the latest update of the Pixel series, which is now available for download.
The latest update adds a new security version for Pixel 2/XL, Pixel 3/XL, Pixel 3a/XL and Pixel 4/XL, but in addition some aspects of the system have been improved for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. After the latest update, problem with freezing Camera app during video recording and accidental overexposure of the image of recordings in some environments has been fixed. Also, from now on there should be no problem with not working NFC in some applications.
