The subject of the unification of the OxygenOS and ColorOS system interfaces has appeared in the media for some time. The two teams responsible for individual overlays have already been merged, and now Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, has officially confirmed that an interface called OnePlus 2.0 will hit the market. This name covers an add-on that combines OxygenOS and ColorOS into one project.

During the official presentation, Pete Lau did not indicate any details, and no photos of the new system interface were presented. The company, however, wants to maintain the responsiveness and speed for which OxygenOS was famous with all the interesting features available in ColorOS. OnePlus 2.0 will go to smartphones as early as 2022, and the first phones to support the new overlay will be the upcoming flagships from OnePlus which will hit the market next year.
