In November last year, Qualcomm released its most powerful processor up to date, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. In the past, however, there were improved versions of the manufacturer's flagship units, which were distinguished by a special type of nomenclature. Such units were named after the manufacturer's previous processor and a plus sign was added to their names. It will probably be the same this time. The media announces that in May Qualcomm will present its new processor, which will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+.

If the rumors will confirm, the biggest change compared to its predecessor may be the use of TSMC's 4nm process. In the case of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, a 4nm technological process developed by Samsung was used for production. Taking advantage of TSMC's capabilities may make the new Qualcomm unit slightly less prone to overload, thus avoiding overheating of the CPU. It can be expected that the first phones equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor will appear on the market in June. The producers who will get the fastest access to the new Qualcomm processor will almost certainly be such companies as Lenovo, Motorola, OnePlus and Xiaomi.
