In the past, two foldable smartphones developed by Samsung have already appeared on the market. Both devices differed significantly from each other and everything indicates that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will also bring unusual solutions. The latest information on patents filed by Samsung indicates that the company's new foldable smartphone can be developed completely without placing physical buttons in it.
Samsung has officially filed a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization called "Galaxy Z Fold Squeeze Gesture." Its implementation is to allow for the abandonment of the use of physical buttons on the phone in favor of gestures. The phone would receive special sensors in places where Samsung currently uses physical buttons in its phones, so that users would really feel as if they were using physical buttons located in the housing. In addition, users will be able to adjust what actions are to be performed after making a specific gesture. The use of such a solution is to allow the narrowing of the entire phone casing.
