Deficiencies in processor access can be noticed in many industries. This also applies to smartphone manufacturers who have a problem with access to parts used in the production of new phones. These shortages are largely due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic, which continues to leave its mark on the economy. For this reason, the largest companies try to become independent from external manufacturers and open their own processor factories. One of the companies that undertook the creation of its factory for creating processors is Samsung.

Samsung has officially announced that the company has managed to reach an agreement with the Texas state authorities. Samsung is planning to spend 205 billion of dollars on developing the company, and 17 billion of dollars from this budget will be allocated to building a factory in this state. In its final form, the new factory is to provide jobs for 2000 people. The construction of the factory itself is scheduled to start in 2022, and the production of parts designed for Samsung's devices is expected to start in 2024.
