In social media it is easy to provide further false information widely regarded as fake news. People using Facebook or Twitter have certainly encountered such a phenomenon more than once, where users without checking the source of specific information continued to retweet it, which automatically created that false reports reached a wider group of customers. Twitter wants to fight this state of affairs, which can be seen in the latest option introduced on the portal.

Twitter has started testing a new feature in which the portal will advise users to read the content of the article that will be retweeted. In the case that a specific article is not opened before sharing, Twitter will ask users whether they are sure they want to share specific content. For now, this feature is only tested between a limited number of customers using the official Twitter app on Android.
