When smaller companies create their flagship smartphones, they very often drop IP certification. These are certifications confirming the water and dust resistance of the phones. In practice, these phones are resistant to even the mentioned splashes, but this is not confirmed by any official tests carried out by external companies that finally issue the equipment with appropriate certificates. For years, it was a way to save money when creating equipment used by OnePlus or Xiaomi, but in the case of their most expensive models, Chinese entrepreneurs are increasingly moving away from such a solution, which is confirmed by the case of the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Pro.

In the case of the upcoming flagship from Xiaomi, which will be called Xiaomi 13 Pro, it is said that it will be a phone with IP68 certification confirmed. This class of the phone proves its complete dustproofness, and in addition, such a phone is also largely waterproof. This certification is issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission.
