Already a few months ago, the first reports which informed about potential purchase of Shazam by Apple appeared on the Internet. Shazam was a highly coveted target on the market - application allowing to recognize song which we have listened some seconds ago turned to be quite popular among smartphone owners, and has become the most popular application of this kind. Today, after long negotiations, Apple has officially become a holder of rights to the Shazam brand, but Android users can sleep peacefully.

Despite concerns of many users who use Android system about takeover of the Shazam brand by Apple, it looks like the application will not be available only to people using iOS. Shazam will still be available for free for download from Google Play Store. What's more, Apple has announced changes that will surely appeal to people using this application. In the nearest future all ads will disappear from Shazam application. We don't know how much exactly Apple paid for Shazam, but rumors say that Apple finally paid around 400 million dollars.
