With the release of iOS version 16, Apple has already released three minor system updates. Now, however, is the time for a major update, 16.1, which brings more changes to iPhones' way of work.
With the introduction of iOS 16.1, it will be easier to use the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with one hand. Apple took care of displaying Dynamic Island lower after turning on this mode, thanks to which it will be possible to use this function not only in the place of the physical location of the sensors. Apple has also made available the Live Activities option, under which third parties will be able to add activities of individual applications in live mode through a special API. This will be manifested, inter alia, by sharing the results of sports events in live mode on the lock screen or in the Dynamic Island location. iOS 16.1 also introduces the long-awaited option to activate an Apple Fitness+ subscription without using the Apple Watch. Apple also took care of changes in the aspect of the battery, hence the icon displaying the battery charge status has been changed from now on, so that when the percentage display mode of the phone charge is turned on, the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen will also change. In addition, smartphones will offer Clean Energy Charging feature, which will translate into a reduction in the carbon footprint of phones. For now, however, such an add-on will only be available in the United States.
