Glu Mobile is a company known for developing games for phones. It specializes in creating titles with celebrities in the lead role. For example, it was Glu Mobile that created, among others, a game such as Kim Kardashian Hollywood, which brings the creators very large profits due to the microtransactions placed in the application. Electronic Arts, realizing the potential of Glu Mobile, decided to conclude a transaction under which Glu Mobile became the property of EA.
Glu Mobile was purchased by Electronic Arts for 2.1 billion of dollars. Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts explains this decision with the growing importance of the mobile gaming market around the world. The functioning of Glu Mobile itself should not change much. The company had so far employed almost 800 employees, of which over 500 were responsible for direct game development.
