Payment with using a phone is a feature that has been available in smartphones for many years. Devices are regularly equipped with NFC, which allows to pay directly using your smartphone instead of a payment card by bringing the device closer to the terminal. Soon, however, iPhones will have a function that allows you to use the phone instead of the terminal.
The function will be officially called Tap to Pay. After its activation, it will be possible to use the smartphone as a terminal for contactless payments, to which devices that support Apple Pay, as well as standard cards used for contactless payments, can be connected to pay the fee. To accept payments with the introduction of the new function, you only need a smartphone without the need to use external equipment, which can be a great help for entrepreneurs. For now, it is said that the function is to debut among users of iPhones in the United States, and a bit later to users from other countries. Initially, the service is to be available in the beta version of iOS. It is possible that the first tests of the function will take place this spring.
