Some rumours suggest that the Lumia 940 and its bigger brother, 940 XL, will be announced at an October 19 event in New York City.

Site NokiaPowerUser claims it knows some of the specs: a 5.7-inch, 2560 x 1440 display with an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood and 3GB of RAM.

Additionally, the phone will come with 32GB of internal storage, a 20MP PureView rear camera, 5MP front facing camera, and an Iris scanner for unlocking the phone.

To find out if its true we have to wait a couple of months.
