At a conference presenting new devices from the iPhone and Apple Watch series, the company from Cupertino boasted a new function of detecting accidents. If appropriate vibrations were detected, the device automatically started an emergency call after 20 seconds without responding to the threat detection message. This function is intended to save lives, but so far it does not work fully properly, as confirmed by reports from the United States.

Recently, the Summit Country 911 hotline recorded as many as 71 calls made using devices from Apple, which are supposed to detect a threat by default. However, it turns out that in all cases, the users were not at risk, and the devices detected the threat based on vibrations during downhill skiing. In December, there was already an update to improve the function, but despite this, the problem still exists and Apple is working on a solution.
