Until now, Netflix has been completely ad-free. Advertisements on the portal simply did not occur, and access to the portal was available only after purchasing a subscription. The model of access to the application after purchasing a subscription will not change, but Netflix will include the long-announced subscription variant displaying ads.

In return for displaying ads, users will be able to purchase access to the service at the lowest possible price. The fee is expected to be 6.99$ per month. Then users will have access to 720p recordings, and ads will be displayed on Netflix from 4 to 5 minutes per hour. Each of them is to last from 15 to 30 seconds. In addition, it will not be possible to download content for offline viewing. Previously existing subscription plans will not change. Netflix announces that the new subscription option will go to 12 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Spain, Great Britain and the United States.
