With the launch of the iPhone X, Apple introduced the famous notch to its smartphones. At that time, the solution was also eagerly copied by manufacturers of Android smartphones, and despite the fact that they have moved away from this solution, Apple still releases phones with a notch. The key detail in adding the note was the fact that in the case of iPhones, the information indicating the percentage of battery charge in the phone disappeared from the status bar. Apple argued this decision with the simple lack of space on the status bar. In this aspect, however, changes are coming with the latest iOS update.
Users running iOS 16 beta 5 can enable a new feature that allows the current battery level to be displayed in the status bar. This time, the information about the battery level of the phone will be displayed on the icon showing the overall battery level, and not as it was in the era of phones before adding the notch, because then the percentage of battery charge was displayed next to this icon.
