Foldable smartphones are increasingly marking their presence on the market. This year, more companies will try their hand at the market, including OnePlus. The undisputed market leader of foldable smartphones at the moment, however, is Samsung, which is confirmed by the statistics on the sale of such devices.
Samsung has achieved record sales of foldable phones. In 2022, 14.2 million such phones were sold worldwide, while Samsung alone sold over 11 million foldable phones. This means that Samsung has sold more such phones than all other companies present in this market combined. The second place in terms of sales was taken by Huawei with less than 2 million units of phones sold. The Financial Times predicts that in 2023, all companies will manage to sell about 30 million units of foldable phones.
