Everything indicates that Apple will present a new version of its AirPods earphones in the first half of the coming year. In 2021, the standard version of AirPods will probably appear on the market, but also the Pro version of course will be presented by Apple. The more expensive Pro version will probably receive significant changes in many aspects, while the standard AirPods 3 are to resemble the cheaper equivalent of AirPods 2 Pro.
The latest reports indicate that in terms of design, Apple AirPods 3 will be remarkably similar to AirPods 2 Pro. However, they are to be cheaper. The currently available version of the AirPods Pro costs 249$, while Apple plans to sell AirPods 3 at a price of around 200$. The price reduction is certainly nice news for customers, but we do not have good information about the details of the specifications of the upcoming earphones. The basic version of AirPods 3 probably won't receive the active noise cancellation feature, which will only be available in the Pro version. Taking into account this information, unfortunately, the reduction in the price of earphones doesn't look very encouraging.
