To maximize its profits, it seems logical to have stores in many countries around the world, so it's a bit surprising that Xiaomi is closing its only store in the UK.
This store was opened in 2018 and the reason for its closure is not a coronavirus epidemic. This unit was simply unprofitable, and for Xiaomi and the British customers themselves the optimal solution is to order devices in an online store, which in many cases offers better prices than those from a UK stationary store. The closure took place on 5th of March, and official store accounts have already disappeared from social networking websites.
