HMD often boasts that their devices receive frequent software updates so users can feel safer with regular security updates. Typically, updates in intention are planned to improve the operation of the phone. Many users had high expectations connected with new update for Nokia 9 PureView, which in assumptions was designed to improve the operation of fingerprint reader built in display, which since premiere of smartphone doesn't get too good reviews. It turns out that its operation after installing new update is even worse.

After update, many people complain that fingerprint reader works incorrectly because now phone can be unlocked with the help of a finger that has not been saved in system as the owner's finger. What's more, some Nokia 9 PureView owners came up with creative ideas on how to test fingerprint reader after the latest update. It turns out that now phone can also be unlocked with a pack of chewing gum, which is confirmed by short recordings that appeared today on Twitter. Certainly, improving working of fingerprint reader is a matter of a few days, but the official update with such errors should not see the light of day at all.
