Until now, users using Android smartphones had the option to adjust the volume of phone calls and notifications by adjusting one of the sliders. Then, however, there was a problem that the volume of calls and notifications was the same and in the event of any changes, the finally set volume level included both functions. In the near future, however, Google is likely to add a new, separate slider to Android that will separate the volume control options for both functions.
This is evidenced by the ADB command noticed in the code. The new slider will eventually appear in the "Sound and vibration" section of Settings. Once the changes are made, both sliders will be positioned next to each other and users will be able to set a different volume level for notifications and calls. However, we do not know whether the announced changes will be introduced in the next releases of Android 13, or whether eventually Google will add these only with the release of Android 14 to the market.
