At WWDC conferences organized by Apple every year, we regularly learn new information about the next versions of iOS. Rarely, however, this conference is a place to present new equipment from Apple. This year, however, at this conference, the premiere of new processors designed for MacBooks took place. We are talking about the M2 processor.
The new processor was made in 5nm technology. The 3nm technology will therefore only be used for the upcoming M2 Pro processor. According to Apple, the newly presented M2 unit is to guarantee approximately 18% greater performance than its predecessor, the M1 processor. With the premiere of this processor, Apple also introduces a new GPU module that will provide users with 35% more graphics power than the previous unit. The M2 processor supports up to 24GB of RAM. It will be used in the new MacBook Air and Pro, which were also presented at the WWDC 2022 conference.
