In order to effectively secure projects against possible hacker attacks, many producers decide to cooperate with other hackers. They have the task of finding potential errors in security on websites or in applications, so that in future creators can secure products for customers in a more accurate way. This solution is used, among others, by Google, which for cooperation with various experts in catching errors has already paid them more than 15 million dollars since 2010. Now the time has come to change amount of money which will be paid for found errors.
From now on, Google plans to pay a minimum of 15000$ for discovering bugs in Google Chrome's security (previously it was 5000$). The upper limit of a possible withdrawal will be 30000$ (previously 15000$). In addition, changes also affected payments for finding errors in ChromeOS (now it will be 150000$ instead of 100000$) and Play Store - Google will pay 20000$ instead of 5000$ for errors found in the code, and errors that allow dangerous leakage of customer data will now be priced for 3000$ instead of 1000$.
