Looks like HTC is jumping on the bandwagon of big trend waves. First - VR headsets, then smart band (which are probably cancelled), and now, according to the newest info - the smartwatches.
According to some anonymous info, HTC is developing a smartwatch with a round 360x360px display with a little meaning codename halfbeak. The HTC has an event scheduled at September 29, where we expect to see some flagships phones, but now it looks like the press may get a glimpse of a smartwatch.
The standalone watch is making the event much more interesting than we supposed. Let's all hope that it won't be a disappointment.
