Nothing Phone (1) is the first original smartphone by a new company founded by Carl Pei. By taking it out of the box, users receive a smartphone based on Android version 12, which closely resembles the "stock" version, which is a system variant without any additional user interface. Despite the fact that the new version of Android marked with the number 13 was released a dozen or so days ago, users of the Nothing phone will have to wait a bit longer to update to this version of the operating system.
As announced, initially Android 13 will go to the latest smartphones from the Pixel series by Google. Over time, of course, the system will go to Nothing Phone (1), but as the manufacturers of this phone indicate - it will take place in the first half of 2023. Nothing's representatives argue that this time will allow the system to be properly adapted to the phone's hardware.
