The Always-on Display feature is now available on many Android phones. For this reason, almost every year it is rumored that this option will appear in iPhones, but Apple is constantly postponing this decision. Although this feature does not appear in Apple smartphones, the company has experience in programming such a feature, as it is available on Apple Watches. Ultimately, however, users will likely get the ability to keep their screen on all the time with the upcoming launch of the 14 series of iPhones.

As we can read on the Bloomberg website, Apple plans to add Always-on display to some of the smartphones from 14 series. To be precise, it is about the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. Both of these smartphones are to use LTPO AMOLED screens, which will ultimately allow the screen refresh rate to be set at a low level. For this reason, the phone shouldn't have any problems with battery performance when AoD is turned on. At the moment, we do not know whether the addition of this function is also planned for last year's flagships iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, which would technically also be able to handle the Always-on display. However, we will have to wait for this information until the premiere of iOS 16.
