At the beginning of the year Samsung planned that they would ship 320 million units of their phones during whole year. After promising number of pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S9 they increased this number to 350 million of handsets. How it turns out, in overall 2018 probably won't it will not be well remembered by Samsung's administrators and Samsung's performance in 2018 seems to be worse than it was in 2017.

As we can read in Samsung's reports firm shipped around 78 million of smartphones in the first quarter of this year. Perspectives for next quarters were even better because Samsung released Galaxy S9 and company thought that number of sold units will increase, but for now it looks that number of 350 million sold units was "far-fetched" basing on reports of one of industry sources. Samsung can be especially shocked with poor performance of Galaxy S9 in China, and the only hope for reaching the gap for this year is premiere of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 which probably will have its premiere on 9th of August.
