Original Samsung's processors from Exynos series are created mainly to use these units in Samsung's flagships, but company sometimes also creates processors for phones made by other companies. Currently, customer reviews about Exynos processors are not the best, because the latest processor version used in Samsung Galaxy S20 has many shortcomings and in technical terms it looks much worse than Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, but Samsung still wants to develop its own series of processors. What's more, it's possible that these units will also be used in Google's phones.

Last year, Reuters journalists reported that Google would talk with processor manufacturers in order not to become dependent on Intel and Qualcomm in terms of processor availability. It seems that solution of this problem is cooperation with Samsung. The latest information indicates that the processor from Exynos series developed by Google and Samsung may appear in Google's phones this year. As announced, the processor is going to be made in a 5nm process and it will be octa-core (two Cortex-A78 cores, two Cortex-A76 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores).
