The basic version of Nintendo Switch is over four years old. Despite the fact that a long time has passed since its premiere in March 2017, the console is still selling very well and generating great interest in the market. Nintendo is slowly getting ready to refresh its console. The latest information indicates that in a few weeks we will know the specification of the new version of this console, which journalists temporarily call Nintendo Switch Pro.
So far, Nintendo has not indicated what the console will really be called, but we already know that it will receive an improvement in the aspect of the screen. The new version of the Switch will work on the basis of a 7-inch OLED screen created by Samsung and it will receive new Nvidia production units that will allow the application to be scaled up to 4K resolution when the console is in the dock. Nintendo wants to present a new version of the Switch before the E3 event. This decision is to allow the company to focus on presenting new games at the upcoming event. It is likely that Switch Pro will cost a bit more than the standard console version. It's worth noting, however, that Nintendo is still planning to produce a cheaper variant of the Switch called Switch Lite, which is available for purchase for around 200$.
