A dozen or so days ago, we mentioned that Xiaomi conducted an experiment in the form of using a very fast charger to charge the phone. It was a 200W charger. Users immediately began to wonder how much this type of charging would affect the battery life. Xiaomi answered this question during the Q&A session on the Chinese Weibo portal.

During the Q&A session, one of the questions concerned the experiment just performed using a 200W charger. The company made it clear - based on the latest results, users can predict that after about 800 charges, the battery will lose about 20% of its full capacity. This result is surprisingly low, considering that 800 charging cycles mean more than 2 years of using the equipment for most users. Chinese standards force manufacturers to keep batteries at least 60% of their original capacity after 400 charging cycles. It can therefore be concluded that Xiaomi did very well with the development of the 200W charger, but we still do not know when such a solution will be used on a large scale in the company's smartphones.
