Xiaomi two years ago decided to start works on their in-house chipset, and they named it Surge S1. Currently firm is developing their new project, and when works will be ended Xiaomi will present new processor from this series - Surge S2.
How says new rumors, mass production of this processor will be started around third quarter of current year. For this time Xiaomi also plans to present their new smartphones (probably Mi6c and Mi6s) which will be equipped with in-house Xiaomi's processors. Surge S2 will be an octa-core processor with four Cortex A53 cores which will run at 2,2GHz and four Cortex A53 cores which will run at 1,4GHz.
