Many ways of fast file transfer between phones are developed by nearly all big companies. Apple has its AirDrop service, and since 2011 Google has tested similar solutions hidden under the name Android Beam. Ultimately, along with Android Q, another service called Fast Share will reach our phones, which will allow users to send files between phones without having to connect to the Internet. Due to the pairing of this feature with Google Play Services, there is a chance that it will not be available in China. So it is not surprising that Chinese companies took matters into their own hands and officially started working on a service similar to AirDrop.
The new file transfer method will be developed by three companies: Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo. The solution will ultimately allow for data sharing between smartphones at speeds up to 20 MB/s. The whole function is going to be based on a Bluetooth connection and we will not need external applications to use it, as it will be built into new smartphones developed by previously mentioned Chinese companies. Certainly the new method of file transfer will go to the devices of the three manufacturers listed above, but the developers of the new service encourage other companies to participate in the new project and they are open to cooperation. The beta version of the new file transfer system will probably appear on the market already at the end of August.
