Over 20 years ago, Netflix began operations. Initially, company dealt with renting films on VHS cassettes and later on DVDs. Over time, financial situation of the company allowed for expansion of its business. Netflix has been responsible for video streaming for over 10 years, but company also creates its own productions such as House of Cards, and firm mainly owes its worldwide popularity to its original series. A big advantage of Netflix is the ability to adjust the fee depending on individual needs, which depend among other things on the number of devices on which Netflix will operate. At the moment, company offers three different plans, but in the future platform may offer another, fourth plan, which is currently in the testing phase.

Recent reports that appeared on the Internet indicate that Netflix has started testing new, fourth type of subscription among users in various countries, including India and Malaysia. The newest type of subscription would be the cheapest of all available (3.6$, when the cheapest currently available plan is valued at 7.2$ per month). In exchange for such a fee, platform would allow you to watch videos in SD quality on one mobile device. The offer of the cheapest currently available plan is very similar, but it allows you to watch movies on any device that doesn't have to be mobile. Netflix realizes that other companies want to compete with them in the aspect of streaming movies and series, and implementation of new subscription types in their opinion will be one of the ways to strengthen their position on the market.
