For many years, smartwatches created by Samsung have been based on the TizenOS system. With the new models, a significant change will come for users, as the watches will use the WearOS 3 system, which will be overlaid with the One UI Watch overlay. With the change of the system used, there will also be changes in the aspect of the voice assistant used supported by the watch.
From now on, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are to support not only Samsung's proprietary assistant, i.e. Bixby, but also the official Google Assistant. So far, however, no information has been published whether users will have full freedom in terms of choosing the voice assistant used. Previously Samsung allowed just for using Bixby assistant in their smartwatches.
