Currently, the Nokia smartphone brand is developed by HMD Global. Nokia itself focuses on other market segments and does not create its own smartphones, but only supplies components used by other companies on the mobile market. The latest example of Nokia's activity is a completely new user interface prepared for smartphones.
The user interface has been rebranded, just like the Nokia logo changed several days ago. The interface was named Pure UI. It is relatively minimalistic. Special icons have been prepared for the system, and Pure UI will also support dark mode. By default, the interface is supposed to adapt to the screen size of the device on which it is used. This means that Pure UI can be used on smartphones, but it is possible that manufacturers will be able to implement this interface on smartwatches.
