Initially, Samsung Galaxy Fold was supposed to be released on the market on 26th of April, but in the testing phase many people who tested the phone noticed big problems with the display and cracking hinges of foldable screen. This is the main reason why Samsung decided to delay the launch of its first foldable phone, but the company hasn't issued so far any official confirmation of this decision. Official announcement was published a few hours ago.

People from the company's environment claim that issue itself is not difficult to repair, but Samsung hasn't announced the date when we can expect the official release of its new device. Company claims that this will happen soon, probably in the next few weeks. Customers who have previously placed a pre-order on the phone after its premiere will have priority in its purchase. Samsung also takes into account customers who may want to cancel their order - in this case, company will not make a problem with canceling the order, and all previously collected money will be refunded. If Samsung won't be ready to send the phone until 31st of May, then all orders will be canceled automatically, but the priority in later purchase of Galaxy Fold will still be saved in users' accounts.
