From several months, the American government drew attention to the problem related to communication equipment, which, in the opinion of high-ranking people in the US government, could pose a threat to the security of inhabitants in country. Politicians feared that smartphones made in China could be used to collect information about the Americans and then to hand them over to the Chinese government. To protect country against possible sabotage or espionage, government began implementing changes in the aspect of releasing Chinese devices on the market.
A few hours ago, Donald Trump officially announced the signing of a document that is intended to prohibit US companies from using devices produced by companies that could potentially endanger the security of inhabitants. Officially, no companies are named in the document, but based on the past, we can presume that government thought, among others, about Huawei. The Chinese company immediately responded to allegations of possible espionage on its part. Liang Hua, chairman of Huawei, expressed his readiness to sign a possible document excluding espionage.
