Unlocking phone with your face is one of the most comfortable features that has appeared on the market recently. Companies outdo each other in improving this idea - at the beginning the technology was not completely safe and didn't work well, so for example our face with glasses didn't allow to unlock the device, but over time this is no longer a problem. Certainly, this is not the end of progress in this matter, and it can be proved by the latest reports from Sony.

A Japanese company is working on a 3D camera that is supposed to work with a laser. According to plans camera will send laser pulses and then read how much it took to bounce back from face. System is supposed to work in a similar way to echolocation. If everything works as described, the owner's face can be read even from a distance of 5 meters from the screen. It is possible that this technology will appear in Sony's phones produced in this year.
